NMLS Required 20 Hour and State of Texas Pre-Licensing
The S.A.F.E. Act mandates that non-supervised lenders become licensed through a Federal registry known and the National Mortgage Licensing System and Registration (NMLS). Each state goes online with NMLS at a different time to allow the system to work through their processes.
Power Training offers classes for the required 20 hours which will prepare you for the Federal Test and/or your state test. Many of our students have already reported passing the federal test as well as the Texas test.
Please read the NMLS Overview from the calendar when you click on "download flier". It will guide you step by step through the process of becoming Nationally licensed and how to take the tests. Our "links" tab will direct you to NMLS and PearsonVue for your testing.
For Texas Loan Officers' with 18 months experience seeking to be come licensed or those wanting to upgrade to a Mortgage Broker, we have added a 30 hour class in January and March. The website calendar will reflect the dates.
New GFE & HUD-1 in place now!
The new GFE and HUD-1 are now required. While enforcement is delayed 4 months, you must make yourself an expert on the new Good Faith issuance rules and completion requirements.
If you are a mortgage loan officer, mortgage loan processor, title agent, title assistant, real estate agent, or any person who might review or deal with Good Faith Estimates or HUD-1, this class should be the highest priority.
